John
Flynn
johnflynn.net
John
Flynn writes and sings passionate songs of humor and social consciousness.
Ticket Magazine places John "at the near end of a long line
of American poets, thinkers and folk artists, stretching from Henry
David Thoreau, Ralph Waldo Emerson and Walt Whitman, all the way
up to Kris Kristofferson". And Kristofferson himself praises
John's songwriting: "The truth is in the details; the gifts
are an ear for accurate dialogue, an eye for powerful imagery and
anything funny, and a heart open to surprises and the possibilities
of moving the emotions. John Flynn is one of a special breed of
good-hearted artists whose reaction to the Human Condition finds
kind, humorous expression."

FREEBO
& PHOTOGLO
www.freebophotoglo.com
Freebo
first gained national recognition for playing bass during his decade-long
tenure with Bonnie Raitt. He has played with some of the finest blues
musicians including Muddy Waters, Mississippi Fred McDowell, Buddy
Guy, Roy Buchanan and John Mayall. This multi-instrumentalist
eventually began writing his own songs and expects to release his
third CD in May. Jim Photoglo has attained notoriety as a highly
respected Nashville songwriter. He wrote the #1 song, “Fishin' In
The Dark”, recorded by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, and he has written
many other songs recorded by numerous performers including Dusty Springfield,
Alabama, James Ingram and Michael McDonald. Together, these
accomplished soloists trade instruments, vocals and mesmerizing songs
with the finesse of a pair of magicians. |

The
Rowan Brothers
www.rowanbrothers.com
From early on, Chris and Lorin
Rowan played in folk, bluegrass and pop bands both with and without
their more famous brother Peter Rowan (of Earth Opera fame). Chris
& Lorin’s first recording together, The Rowan Brothers, released
in 1972, was produced by the now legendary instrumental wizard and
producer David Grisman. Throughout the years, they have both released
independent albums and had various side music projects, but their
mutual love and respect brings them back together. Their songs are
laced with stunning harmonies, honest lyrics and haunting melodies.
Several of the Rowan's songs have been recorded by national artists
ranging from Jefferson Starship to most recently, country artist
Ricky Skaggs; the title track of his Grammy Award winning CD, "Soldier
of the Cross", was written by Lorin. |
